and underfunctioning. Not a good combo, you know?
I had to drag my sad butt out of bed at 4:30 this morning in order to catch up on work. Only because I've been lame over the last few days and plagued with email issues as our new website (whoot!) went live. The timing on that one could have been better :) So I'm playing catch up.
John is currently in the air, flying to DC, where he will be until he leaves for Germany tomorrow. He is on a Thanksgiving mission to bring soldiers home. Which is an amazing blessing and opportunity for him. I miss him and we'll miss having him home for Thanksgiving, but I am very, very proud of him.
Dylan is still sleeping, since he doesn't have school this week. He also was up numerous times last night with a sore throat. Ugh. I'm hoping it's better when he wakes up? And I'm really hoping (and praying and crossing my fingers) that it isn't something ugly like strep.
Halle is also still sleeping, but she does have preschool today. Boy howdy! Considering that I need to have her there in one hour? Maybe I'd best wake that child up!
After school/work/sore throats, we are going to make some variety of a "thankful tree". Halle has also requested to make turkey cookies by tracing her hand onto the dough and cutting it out. She did say, however, that she would "prefer" (her word) to use purple icing to make purple feathers on her turkey. So flamboyant turkey cookies it is!
(From eighteen25. So cute.)
