I think that between the heat and my whacked-out hormones, that most of my brain has completely disintegrated. So random is the best I can do at the moment . . .
* Did I tell y'all that we're going to Disneyland? Whoooo-eeeee! I am so excited. We're going to celebrate Halle's 2nd birthday (although, really, that's just my handy excuse). Both of my parents are coming. And I can barely wait! We have reservations at Goofy's Kitchen for Halle's birthday dinner and I have been ridiculously obsessed by all things Disney. I just ordered matching shirts for the whole bunch of us. And hair bows for Halle. And an extra shirt and dress for Halle-boo (hey, it's her birthday!). We still have almost two months before we go, but if time keeps chugging along like it has been, well . . . it'll be here before I know it!
* I really, really, really hate this heat. It turns me into an exhausted and lazy slug.
* I am a certifiable emotional wreck. I DVR'd that show, "Raising Sextuplets" which is not all that spectacular of a show. And it has a very cheesy theme song. Which seemingly makes me cry every time I watch it. I also cry at Tori & Dean and any book I read, whether it's sad or not.
* My house is disgusting. Beyond disgusting really. Yet here I sit. Blogging. Because that makes my floors clean!
* I am within two pages of finishing our Mexican Riviera cruise scrapbook. And as I was proofing it in Shutterfly, I saw that I had misspelled "Riviera". On the cover. LOL. I'm really glad I caught that one before I printed it. I am waiting for just a couple of pictures from John's sister and then I'll be good to go! Only six months after we got back . . . whoops!
* Halle is talking like crazy. She can repeat darn near anything. I actually bought her a pair of flip-flops - which I really believe are not safe or good for her feet - just so I could repeatedly hear her say, "fip-fops", which is the cutest thing ever. I am determined to get it on video this week. It is that cute. (Although I may be slightly biased.)
* Halle is also totally and completely stubborn/determined?OCD. her latest craze is to obsess over certain clothes. In particular (this weekend), she wants to wearher "ewww" pajama bottoms (eww=bug, in this case, a caterpillar print), two shirts - a striped tank top AND her striped Elmo tee shirt and two pairs of underpants - preferably outside of her pajama pants. She digs them out of her hamper. Gross!
* Dylan has lost his mind to the Internet. Between YouTube (stupid) videos and Roblox . . . he's a goner! And his mother -slacker that she is - just lets him rot in front of the screen for hours at a time.
* Tomorrow I have to be in Redding by 8:30 at the latest. For a 9:00 am meeting. That I'm still not mentally prepared for. Nor am I prepared to be off for the following seven days of no daycare. Don't get me wrong . . . I want to be off and I have the time scheduled off . . . it's just that ym workload apparently didn't get the memo. I've got stuff hitting my desk like crazy!
* Summertime eating has taken over around here. Things like frozen Gogurts for dinner (kids) and peaches for lunch (me). Frozen yogurt from jon & Bon's any time we can get it. Crackers and cheese seem like a big undertaking. It's just too dang hot.
* Halle has a summer cold. And has forgotten how to sleep. It really sucks, in case you were wondering.
And now, the pool beckons. Because if I started cleaning up my house? I might actually have to finish something. Nah . . .
