I have safely arrived in Pismo Beach. All of my gut-wrenching assurance that I would likely die on the plane faded over the course of the flights - as the Ativan worked it's magic in the deep recesses of my brain.
You have to love flying out of rinky-dinky little airports. I arrived at the Chico airport at 5:20 for a 6:00 am flight. Truly? I could have arrived at 5:40! But oh well, it gave me a few extra minutes to lessen myweepiness over leaving the kidlets. Isn't that crazy, really? I am going to be gone for less that 72 hours! But anyway, I just love my kids. I love my home. I love my life. Why would I want to go anywhere without them?
Except for the sleep . . . yep, that is gonna be good. I am skipping out of any late-night carousing this evening and going to bed. Ahhhh. Bed.
My life. It's sad really! But oh, so good.
So now, since my room will not be ready until the afternoon and the first real obligation I have is at 1:15, I am sitting poolside. Catching up on a little work, actually. Well, and a little blogging. Really wishing I wasn't in full business attire, but hey, I can slip those high heels right off! I was so smart and brought my new "little" camera, so maybe I'll get off my duff and take a few pics and post them. Maybe.
And speaking of my new little camera, John's Dad and StepMom gave me some $$$$ for my birthday and since my old "little" camera" had decided to die, I bought a new one! I ended up with the Sony Cybershot DSC-W290. I had great luck with my previous Sony - mostly because it lacked in that typical "digital delay". This one feels a little slow to me, so we'll see. I figure that worst-case, I shoot the heck out of for the 14 day return window and if I'm not happy with it, I take it back for something else. No harm, no fowl.
Anyway, back to work . . . but in an amazing setting.
