Feverish Ramblings . . .
Doesn't it suck to be sick in the summer? I think it's way worse than being sick in the fall or winter. I almost like to be sick when it's cold. But to be sick, especially with a dang fever, in the summer? Sucks. And all of us have it. Well, to be exact, Dylan had it. And gave it to us. I got hit hard yesterday (fever, headache, sore throat and nausea). Halle was running a 103 degree fever by 4:30 this morning. And John left for his Air Force drill weekend all pale/flushed and crabby. So we'll assume he'll have it by tomorrow morning. Good times!
Anyway . . . moving on . . . Halle's baptism is next Sunday. I need to order the cake. And get a decent number of RSVPs. Why doesn't anyone (or at least 1/2 of those invited) bother to RSVP anymore? I mean, seriously! And it's never those folks that are just a couple or maybe have one child. It's those that have 3-4 children! And I need to know numbers by Monday to confirm with the caterer. So now I have to make phone calls/emails. Lame! I did get my dress today. I ordered it from Nordstrom yesterday. At 3:00 in the afternoon. It was delivered today at 1:00 pm. How crazy-cool is that? I also got a pair of shoes for Halle to wear to her "after-party". (You won't see her feet in her long baptismal gown for the ceremony.) I took them out of the box to try them on her. She proceeded to play with them and now? I can only find one of them. And my house is clean! So it has to be here somewhere. It had better be!
And now, it is 10:10 pm. Given that Halle-boo is sick, I cannot play hard-ass when it comes to sleep training tonight. Which means we'll likely be going backwards in our fairly successful week or work. Quite specifically it means, I am not guaranteed any sleep tonight. So I'm putting Dylan to bed and going to bed myself. John let me go back to bed after Halle was up this morning and it was awesome! But he's gone until Sunday night, so I have to be smart. And go to bed.
Peace out!
No one RSVP's anymore... I swear it's an outdated system, somehow...
