Baptized and OH-SO-TIRED!
Add together the fact that we had multiple out-of-town visitors, hosted a baptism and luncheon for over 60 people AND that we spent the better part of last night in the ER? And I am friggin' tired!
All, in all, it went well. The church service was super-long (sorry!) but all of the kids (and grown-ups) did awesome sitting in there. Princess Halle-boo was great. She didn't fuss at all - even when the water dripped in her eyes. The other baby being baptized did fuss quite a bit - she made Halle look great by comparison!
As for the ER visit, we were out to dinner last night with friends . . . my BFF and her boyfriend, Halle's godfather and his wife. We had just finished a great dinner at 5th Street Steakhouse, which is ultimately my favorite place to go for a good dinner out. It was made even better by the shot of Patron and two margaritas that I sucked down. Just as we finished up, our friend's wife felt really sick. She ended up passing out and throwing up and then passing out again! So talk about a serious buzz-kill! I had to sober up quick!
We took her into the ER and I got to see my hubby in action. He really is amazing at what he does. Long story sort, her heart rate was really, REALLY low. It was scary. But she's OK. Going to do some follow-up at home (they live out of state). And we had a lovely time in the Emergency Room. On a Saturday night - which is when all the fun people come in!
So with just about 3 hours of sleep under our belts - we had a lovely baptism! We do have killer friends. There were too many people there for me to feel like I connected with everyone, but still. What a bunch of fantastic people that we have in our lives.
A couple of pics and then I'm off to bed. And it's not even 9:00 pm! I'm not even going to watch Army Wives. And I love me some Army Wives! (Does that just sound dirty to me because I'm so tired or does it just sound dirty, period?)
Peace out!

I bet you're so relieved it's over... yikes, way to end the evening!
I, too, can attest to the hubby's ER skills!

I am so glad it went well. Everyone looks great in the family picture! I hope you keep posting the pages for Halle's book...they are so sweet!
