So let's see . . . first things first . . .
I had some fairly regular contractions yesterday. For most of the morning and into the afternoon. I called the OB's office because I knew he was headed out of town and I wanted to know when he was leaving. They told me to come in. At that point, I was contracting every 10-12 minutes.
So we jammed into the office, he checked me and determined that there had been no change since the preceding day. And sent me home.
I haven't had a damn contraction since! (And it's not for lack of trying, if you know what I mean!)
I did go to the chiropractor yesterday morning and wowser! I actually felt the shift in my pelvis. She used something called the Webster Technique and dang, it was cool! She scheduled me to come back in on Monday, but then her office called me this morning and said she wanted me to come back in today. So I'm heading there in a little bit.
The high point of my day, however, was great news about a birth photographer. I had been looking for someone to take pictures during my L&D. Couldn't find someone to save my soul! We finally found a local photographer who was willing to do it. But we didn't really like her work. And it was not really pro-level work. But she had pro-level prices. So I was in a total quandary. I finally posted on a message board and one of the sweetest gals (ever!) spent a bunch of time looking for someone for me. I got a call yesterday from Amy Leigh and she's going to come up and shoot our birth! (Assuming that all goes well and that she can make it up from Sacramento in time.) I am really, really excited!
I also finished organizing my negatives and index prints, back from my 35mm days. I have also backed up a ton of photos and gotten those CDs into a binder. The baby's room is good to go, other than tie-backs for the curtains. I have her name canvas up over the crib, just waiting for her name to be done in chipboard letters. Again, just waiting to be sure of that name! The house is clean. Laundry is caught up. The freezer is full. My hospital bag and the diaper bag is packed. Obviously nesting for the last three months has paid off!
And now, I am going to go to the chiropractor and get adjusted. Yeah for me and my pelvis! (Yes, I am a spun-out, over-due, pregnant dork these days!)

Hey Amy...What a sweetheart:)Im over the moon about documenting your birth!
